Copper bumpa with turquoise stones. The bumpa is ritual vase with a spout and is seen as the palace of the deities and the expanse of the universe. There are two types of bumpas; the tso bum, or main vase, and the ley bum or activity vase. The main vase is placed in the center of the mandala, while the activity vase is placed on the Lama’s table and is used by the Chopön during rituals and empowerments for purification, blessing, and consecration.
